Grand Canyon State Electric Cooperative Association’s Summer Meeting
Annual Event Brings Together Thought Leaders & Industry Professionals

Almost 200 Arizona co-op representatives and their supporters convened at the Little America Hotel in Flagstaff in late July for the Grand Canyon State Electric Cooperative Association (GCSECA)’s Summer Meeting. The event broke records in terms of attendees, sponsorships, and auction proceeds.
“It was great to see so many friends and colleagues join us for the Summer Meeting,” says Chuck Moore, CEO of Navopache Electric Cooperative and president of the GCSECA Board of Directors. “We had a fantastic meeting that included many interesting, fun, and important aspects in a few short days.”
Activities included the board president’s lunch, a hotly contested golf tournament, the July GCSECA Board of Directors meeting, a reception that benefitted the Arizona Action Committee for Rural Electrification, and a general session featuring a parade of outstanding speakers. NRECA Board President Tony Anderson, Noble Predictive Insights CEO Mike Noble, and 4 of the 6 candidates vying for seats on the Arizona Corporation Commission were among the notable speakers. GCSECA also recognized U.S. Rep. Juan Ciscomani with its 2024 Co-op Champion Award.

The Summer Meeting concluded with a sold-out board leadership course and a group purchasing committee meeting.
“I want to thank and acknowledge the Grand Canyon State Electric Cooperative Association (GCSECA) team for doing a fantastic job to produce another successful Summer Meeting,” GCSECA CEO Dave Lock says. “They just seem to keep getting better and better.”
Plans are already underway for next year’s Summer Meeting, which will return to Flagstaff on July 21 through 24, 2025.
