Government Relations

Your Voice in the Halls of Congress, the State Capitol, and the Arizona Corporation Commission

Government buildings in Washington, D.C.GCSECA evaluates proposed legislation, offers testimony and communicates with state and federal legislators and commissioners, regarding matters important to the cooperatives. Electric cooperatives differ significantly in ownership structure and purpose from other electric utilities. As private, not-for-profit, consumer-owned businesses, they bring a consumer-oriented perspective on legislation and regulation affecting the wholesale energy market and other aspects of the electric industry.

Your government relations team maintains a constant presence at the State Capitol and the Corporation Commission, and works with Arizona’s Congressional delegation to deliver the cooperative message to policy makers. GCSECA also makes it possible for co-ops to tell their own story by keeping our members informed and coordinating grassroots activities.
